Cultural activists mourn the government during Independence Day Celebrations

In the 50 years of independence, cultural activists are being neglected, despite playing an important role in establishing the spirit of the Cold War and the ideology of Bangabandhu. Mainstream cultural organizations are not being given due status. The state initiative is not enough to preserve the relics during the freedom struggle. The country is witnessing various injustice, corruption and undesirable incidents.

Leaders of top cultural organizations of the country have expressed their grievances against the ruling Awaji League government. He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the cultural alliance's two-day Independence Day celebrations at the capital's central Shaheed Miner on Friday afternoon. The slogan of this festival is 'Golden Jubilee of Independence Bangladesh of Equality and Harmony.

Nasir Uddin Yusuf, former president of Similia Songs kretek Jute and a heroic freedom fighter who participated in the event, said that if one walks anywhere in Dhaka city, one cannot find any picture of the March 25 massacre and destruction. But in the war-torn countries of the world, hundreds of installations have been left in every war-torn city as a memorial. we did not. We didn't even maintain mass graves. It is a matter of pain that roads and buildings will be everything, but if the memories of 1971 are kept, then generation after generation will know that in this country 30 lakh people gave their lives, more than 2 lakh women lost their dignity - this In return, the country has become independent. But none of these exist in Bangladesh.

Nasir Uddin Yusuf remarked that Bangladesh's independence was to be brought by blood and not by the stroke of a pen sitting at the table like in India-Pakistan. He said there are war installations in Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. But we didn't. The city of Dhaka was not a war-torn city - that is what we want to prove. So didn't the Pakistani army kill? We don't have chance to show our kids or our foreign friends about the war in Dhaka city. Anti-independence forces have ruled for 29 of the 50 years of independence. So we couldn't do much. But we have been in power for a long time. what could I do? We have to talk about the same thing.

Muhammad Samad, Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University and President of the National Poetry Council, said, "Amidst the sadness, pain and despair, we have to tell the stories of our heroism again and again to the new generation." We should also remember the contribution of martyrs.

Muhammad Samad remarked that the country is witnessing various injustices, corruption and untoward incidents.

Pathantak Parishad general secretary Ahmed Ghiyas read out the announcement of the program. It has been said that along with economic development, neglect and short-sightedness towards cultural development scare us. On the Golden Jubilee of Independence, we demand on behalf of the artist-literary as well as the cultural community, the establishment of saturation and participation in the conduct of its activities, to determine the cultural outlook of the State and in particular the Government.

The conference was presided over by the President of Sammilita Cultural Jote, Golam Quddush. Development is not the last word he said. The last thing is whether the inequality between the people has ended or not. Today we see no dignity of the cultural organizations that fought against the conspiracy to stop Rabindra Sangeet during the Pakistan era and fought for the implementation of the ideology of Bangabandhu. The loss will be to the state. Because when the cultural workers become inactive in despair, then who will do the cultural awakening that is necessary to save the country?

Ahkam Ullah, Joint General Secretary of Sammilita Cultural Jote, Jhuna Chowdhary, Convener of Festival Ceremony Council, Kamal Pasha Chowdhary, General Secretary of Charushilpi Sangha, Manzar Chowdhary, General Secretary of Gana Sangeet Sambhav Parishad, Regina Wali Nigar Chowdhary of Pathnatak, President Regina Wali Nigar Chowdhary Council Mizanur Rahman spoke.

The cultural program started at the end of the discussion. This program is being organized today to celebrate the night of 25 March. On the great independence day, from tomorrow at 4 pm, there will be a cultural program of Sammilita Cultural Jote at Shaheed Minar.
